Welco Lumber Corp. is an employee-owned world leader in the distribution of quality forest products. We are focused on bringing quality commodity and specialty products sourced from various primary and secondary manufacturers to selected global markets. In our continuing efforts to meet and exceed both our suppliers’ and customers’ service expectations, we have worked hard to develop a winning combination…the right people, a commitment to service, and the right products delivered at an affordable price.
Today, Welco maintains its head office in Burnaby, BC with satellite offices in Alberta, Washington and California. Our team is led by Brad Johansen, President and CEO, and Brian Elcock, Secretary-Treasurer. Both Brad and Brian are hands-on individuals and involved not only with the daily sales and operations of Welco but also the guidance of our longer-term strategic objectives.
We attribute much of Welco’s success to the experience, efforts, and commitment of our personnel. As most of our employees have been with Welco for more than five years, we’ve developed a cohesive team of traders, managers, and support personnel. Our team works closely together to provide excellent service as they efficiently process transactions, spearhead new initiatives and resolve issues.
Welco remains committed to delivering the quality products and service we have provided since 1983. In addition, we continue to add new offerings and expand our product lines. We are especially proud of our ability to offer exclusive products from our contract mills. Through these strategic alliances, each partner is enabled to leverage its strength and, together, bring a better product and price to the customer.
